Sunday history lesson: April 7th marks the day that in 1933, the Cullen-Harrison Act was enacted, allowing people to buy, sell, and drink beer containing up to 3.2% alcohol by weight (or 4.05% by volume). It is one of the first steps towards ending Prohibition. Upon signing the legislation, FDR stated, “I think this would be a good time for a beer.” We couldn’t agree more. Cheers, friends. 🍻 #nationalbeerday #themoreyouknow ... See MoreSee Less

You may see this historic photo hanging in our taproom soon. Taken in 1908 of the Borden's condensed milk factory, known as the "Queen of the West", which faced to the south along the Chicago and Northwestern railroad tracks in Huntley. The local factory was a success due to the surplus of milk produced by area farmers. The convenience of the railroad system made it easy for Borden's to ship their products to Chicago. We are proud to bring Sew Hop‘d to this same building, and bring fresh craft beer to the residents of Huntley. 🍻 ... See MoreSee Less

That is beautiful. Well done!!

Love the history of the property and that you are keeping it as part of your business ! Cannot wait for your opening 🍻

I remember getting fresh Bordon Milk delivered to our door every two days and on Friday we would get fresh butter and whip cream!

Can’t wait to have a beer there!

Amazing history! I can’t wait!

I did a painting of the Borden Building, as I will always call it...my Dad was a Borden, home delivery milkman.

That’s so cool!

Congratulations, it's a great day!

You guys gonna do a mug club??? This is a critical piece to a successful brewery business. I will happily sign up for mug #1 if you do!

When do you plan to open?

Hopefully a nice clean IPA, can't wait to try it!

Don’t care what the first batch will be. I just know I’ll be drinking it whatever it is. 😂🍺🍺can’t wait!

Hazy Huntley IPA

I’m so excited for you!

Looks to be an IPA but would love to see a Pilsner

Jer you not

Huntley IPA

I’m thirsty already!

So exciting! If I wasn't sick, I'd be knocking on the door right now.
